Ozone is an elemental form of oxygen occurring naturally in the earth’s atmosphere. Ozone is known as tri-oxygen (O3). It is a pale blue gas that condenses to a deep blue liquid at very low temperatures.

Ozone is also formed by electrical discharges on oxygen so it is often created by thunder and lightning. That wonderful fresh smell after a thunder storm is ozone.
